I was hoping you can help me solve a weird issue. I had a flat, used the compressor in the rear to charge up my tire. I used the compressor for about 10 minutes and afterwards my console cigarette lighter did not work anymore. I had used it just earlier in the day to charge my iPhone. I did my research and changed fuse #1 (under passenger foot), no luck. I checked if a cable came loose behind the cigarette charger, nope its good. Then I got a volt meter and check voltage on fuse #7 (cigarette lighter under the flap, it read 11 volts, then checked fuse #1 and it read 1.2 volts. Can anyone please guide me on how I can fix this?
I have used my oem compressor thru the cig outlet for over 5 years for tracking with no issues. Now the one in the dash, who knows why it doesn't work.

I still have this problem. Used the lighter to run a small vacuum cleaner. Worked for a while, but not for about a year now. Haven't worried about it as I don't need the lighter. Would be nice to know what went wrong. Have checked fuses, replaced the lighter parts, checked all connections, etc. but it still does not work.
My dad suggested I can connect the wire to another fuse that is not in use that is same power. I will try that and if not I will replace the wire like you said.

I'm terrible with electronics.
I would think that if you disconnected the connection from the back side of the console lighter.
Then run the same/proper size new wire from the fuse in the pass/side, fuse box to the backside of the cig lighter.
This would tell if it is indeed a break down of the original wire/harness?, that goes to the cig/lighter to the fuse box.
If the new wire shows failure too, I would inspect the wire & connection that goes into that fuse in the box
I'm not suggesting to change out the wire I mentioned.
The wire would only be for a test, from the fuse box to the c/lighter.....
to see where your electrical problem is/lives.
