My friend's '01 Keeps blowing the left front directional bulb. Does anyone knows if this some sort of generic C5 problem, or a matter of sorting out wiring for some sort of short? Theres also a battery drain problem going on, and my friend thinks they are related. Thanks for any comments.

Yes it's quite common for the front corners, turn sig/DRL housing to melt directly above the bulb (extreme heat) .
It melts to the point to where it ruptures completely through, allowing moisture / water penetration to drop onto the bulb... causing the bulb/bulbs to blow frequently.
There have been many posts/threads in this regards & different means to properly address the problems.
Yep....what they said!!
Mine pretty much blows the left bulb once a year. Each time I replace it I find moisture in the housing.
I just picked up some used, undamaged lights from a Forum member and will be swapping them out soon. I am expecting that this will fix my problem.
Good luck!!
