squeeks and rattles....got any?
after 15 years I've finally developed a number of unwanted noises. My door panel and driver seat now squeak and I have no idea what to do, except take everything apart and start fiddling. Anyone have similar issues and any advice on how to fix?
....I need to learn which is the proper spelling of "squeak" too.

I guess that I'm lucky. No squeaks or rattles in my 04 coupe.

Didn't have any rattles until I loosened the rear latch on my targa top (I thought it was clamping down way too tight). Now I have a rattle on the driver's side. Going to have to get back in there and re-tighten it down again. Other than that, no rattles or squeaks.

I just got rid of my only squeaks, which were caused by end links that were totally shot. Now it rides as quiet as run-flats will let it.

The only rattle I notice in my 02 C5Z w/52,000 miles is in my window panel area.
When ever I shut the door on the drivers side with the window down it rattles when I shut the door. The passenger side shuts more solid sounding.
I have already put a new regulator in it.

IF I remember correctly (and that is very suspect at this point in life) during the development of the C5, there had been so very many very vocal complaints of rattles and squeaks in the C4 that one of the main points of attention on the C5 was to minimize rattles and squeaks long-term in the life of a C5.
Judging by the two '99s I have owned, I would say that they were quite successful!! A thirteen year old car with 70,000 miles and no nasty noises is amazing!!!
As a side note, the doors still sound solid and tight when closing them, too. No matter what level my windows are at!!!! I am very pleasantly amazed.
This one is definitely a keeper!!!!!!

98 vert @ 84k doesn't make a sound. Well, not any unwanted ones!
---edit---
Disturbd,
On your comment for your doors, just having the DIC message telling people to close the door all the way is worth dividends on keeping the doors sounding good. Don't drive around with em hanging on the hinges, they last longer! Woohoo! Remember how doors used to sag on EVERYTHING when people didnt' close em?

01 w 72k miles.. The suspension squeaked when I first got it. Metal endlinks fixed that.. Now the only time I get a squeak is when I have the painted roof on.. Slow turns into parking lots I will get some squeaks.. Not enough to bother me tho.
