I just ordered a Cyberdine steering wheel emblem. I ordered the one that only has the two flags and not the round halo and flagstaffs. Hopefully it will look good. I hesitated a long time before ordering it because I just don't like anything stick on and not made of aluminum or stainless steel. Since I couldn't find any true aluminum steering emblem I decided to try this one.
By the way, unless the emblem completely detaches during airbag deployment and becomes a projectile, there is no danger. You do not get hit with the airbag cover during deployment. It moves completely out of the way so there is no reason for not making aluminum steering wheel emblems. As a matter of fact, my 2010 Mustang has an aluminum steering wheel emblem and so does my wife's Kia Forte Koup. You will also notice that there are multitudes of new cars out there with aluminum steering wheel emblems.
I really hope that someone will finally make a quality metal steering wheel emblem for the C5 one day (are you listening, vendors?). I am just not a big fan of vinyl. But, we'll see how I feel about the Cyberdine one once I get it.

I've never ordered any decals directly from Cyberdine. Hopefully, you'll get yours soon. Good luck.
