At the speeds I drive.... I won't care about a emblem hurtling at my face. I'll be more concerned about the concrete barriers or trucks coming at me.
My Dodge truck has the hard plastic RAM emblem in the same spot on the wheel, so it's gonna leave a bigger mark......tough luck.

This is when the flash reflected off the "dome" so I moved the camera for the other shots. It's as clear as glass and almost transparent when viewed full on.

I'm not happy with mine and hopefully this won't happen to you. My dome looks discolored. The reason is, is because you can't clean underneath it and when you shine your wheel it will look different under the dome than the rest of the wheel does.
At first it looked fantastic and it still looks good, but I can see the difference.
I have the same one from the same vendor.
