Odd wording.
Be very careful of an ad such as this. Get the address and do a Google Sat search to see what the neighborhood looks like before you venture over there.
He says that "he" put on 100K miles. And there was one or two other owners, who put on, what maybe 300K miles? If so, perhaps the price is good for the high mileage since no one else will buy it. But be very careful of a setup to ambush and rob you.
Note that there is no other description or photos of the car. Someone could have just taken a snapshot of some Vette on the street and put it on Craigslist as a come-on. Ask for more photos by email and see what he says. Get back to the Board with your findings....

I'd at least ask for the vin and run it through carfax. I'd also be wary of the typical problems you'd find w/1999-2000 vettes (ebcm, steering pos sensor rarity). Basically it smells bad for an outwardly good looking vette for that low a price.

lol. You guys who are even entertaining this probably don't use craigslist very often. That there is a scam, and the worst attempt at one I have seen in a long time. Don't even email it. You will be told that the car is overseas or in another part of the country and you will have to pay for it then go look at it or something like that.

For what it's worth, an amost identical ad appeared in the Raleigh NC area within the last week. $4200 for a C5. I thought it was a misprint and they forgot the 10K but it ran for about 3 or 4 days.
I didn't answer for all the reasons listed above. It was either a total beater or a scam. But now it looks like a scam as the ad is similar to what I saw here. The NC ad was listed on Cars or Autotrader, can't remember which one. Went up and came down fast.

I actually replied asking where "she" got my email address and where she is located.
I doubt I'll get a response. Funny thing is that other than a local dealership or two that have my email address, I have not posted it or sent anything to anyone corvette related.
