I have a 2003 Z06...I was going to order a set of Bilstein Sport shocks until I read lots of threads that there wasn't a noticleble difference between the stock Z06 shocks (rolly-polly since day one).
I looked PDAT but I'm not about about to spend $3K on shocks.
I need a stiller ride than thos 2003 OEM shocks...any suggestions?
The Bilstein Sports are supposedly very similar to the 04 shocks, which are supposedly noticeably better than the 03 shocks.
We need more precise details about your opinion of your current suspension... terms like "rolly-polly" and "stiller" aren't exactly industry standard.
Are you unsatisfied with body roll around turns? Do you wish it was firmer/softer when hitting bumps in the road? Does the car oscillate up and down after hitting a bump? Do you want more/less rebound? Also, how many miles are on your OEM shocks? They might just be worn out.
For me, since day one, there is too much body roll. The original shocks aren't worn out, based on rebound and no tire problems.
BTW, I used to live in W. Hollywood (1968-1972)...I remember J. Sloans, the Melting Pot, Chateau Marmont, Dan Tana's, Norm's, Barney's ******y, Raincheck Room on Santa Monica Blvd., lots of places on Sunset including Famous Amos' first store on Sunset at the old Chicken Delight place.

Cool! A lot of those places are still there.

Sounds to me like your money will be best spent on sway bars, not shocks. I just recently upgraded to the Hotchkis set and have been thoroughly enjoying the decreased body roll. Others have posted favorable reviews of the PFADT Johnny O'Connell set as well. Both are good options for the street, or a dual purpose street/track car.
I've owned numerous 2002 z06's, and 1 2004 z06. I put Bilstein Sports on one of the 02's, but the 04 still feels significantly better (stiffer). I'd be curious to try C6Z shocks at some point. I think I'd just go for a cheaper set of coilovers in the future though.
