Installing the console power outlet?
How does the consoles power outlet get installed? I have a customer finished one back from the shop and the power outlet has two tings in it but the hole for it only has one cutout for a single ting which is 90 degrees out of position for the poweroutet. Is it just a straight push it in till it snaps in place ? Really confused and I don't want to break it. Thank you !

Thank you, Worked like a charm. I did notice as I was sitting here pondering my dilemma, that if you look at the sideways at the power outlet, one of the tabs sit just a %$$hair farther back from the other, so I put that one in first then twisted it and sure enough there's just enough 'Give' that you can carefully & slowly twist the outlet till the other one is in and then it's just a half turn back and the two tabs are locked it.

1997 Console without the notch in it.
Oddly enough, I have another custom finished rear console that has slightly smaller opening for both the power outlet & the gas door switch ? I'll have to use a small file and put a notch in the burl-wood finished console and put it up for sale on Ebay. This forum is an excellent place to get real world information on the C5 from C5 owners.
