Default x pipe

Got my Borla x pipe and got the missing bolts replaced, now I don't have instructions but does this pipe replace the cats as well or will I have to cut the stock pipe behind the cats to put this on?

No instructions?

I would measure each side of the new Borla X pipes from the flanges
(where they bolt up to the cat backs) forward.
Two different measurements, pass side/drivers side.
Transfer those measurements to your cars H pipe.
That is where you need to cut your cars H pipes to transfere in your new X pipe.

I would purchase a good quality chain pipe cutter, to cut the old H pipes.

See picture of stock H pipe.
Note the add on at the c/back flange for cutouts.
Disregard the add on pipes, but this picture should give you a better understanding of what your stock H pipe looks like & approximately where your cuts will be at.

Looks to me that your cats will remain in their original locations?

Photo helps, will measure the xpipe but it only has flanges on the catback side and clamps for the other side. I was hoping it replaced the entire unit, it would be much easier that way.

No directions came with it, open box purhase deal. I found torque specs of 35 ft/lbs for the catback flage bolts.

Here's another pic...

I agree with everything bumble-z said, except about the chain pipe cutter. Cutting steel pipe is a job for a power tool. I tried the chain cutter thing and failed miserably. You may also need a pipe expander, such as this: http://www.harborfreight.com/large-t...der-37354.html

You'll also want to apply some sort of gasket goop to the flanges between the x-pipe and axle-back exhaust.
