Default cluch sticking

I have a 01 c5 only mod is CAI, I went to drag strip other day every time after my run my clutch petal would stick to the flow, and at times I would have to put my foot under petal to pull it back up.

Its fine when I don't get on it As soon I get on it start shifting it starts sticking.. What is causing this problem?

One possible answer is dirty clutch fluid. Can cause erratic and sluggish clutch operation. Solution,, is take something like an old turkey baster and suck out the old dirty fluid, refill with fresh DOT3 brake fluid. Get back in and pump the clutch pedal a bunch. Check the reservoir and you will most likely see more black gunky looking fluid again. repeat several times till you have fairly clean results. This will improve the operation. another area would be to check the be dal return spring. Hope this helps.

Remove the spring behind the clutch pedal, it will stop it form sticking to the floor and you ruining your clutch.

Sounds like Hydraulics are in your near future.

I had this problem a while back. After changing the fluid didn't work, I put in new master cylinder. Works perfectly now. If that is your solution as well. I recommend the tick unit. It pretty nice.

The spring serves a purpose other than just controlling pedal movement. I don't remember exactly what it is, but removing the spring isn't recommended because of it.

Replacing the clutch fluid on my 02 fixed my clutch issues. Much smoother operatng. The fluid apeared to have a little condensation in it, and some discoloration. Sucked out and refilled twice and good to go.
