Cool pictures, but those pan pictures are from only half way up the hill. My Club sits on top of the hill and looks down from where those shots were taken. They are great shots by the way.
We love sitting at the top of the hill, not many folks want to be bothered with "Climbing" the hill and when there is a cool breeze at Carlisle it's on top of the hill.
I watched the sun rise on Friday and Saturday from our vantage point on the hill, and both days filled up very quickly. Great weather for the first time in nearly 4 years, helped attendance.
I can attest to the size. We walked from 9:30 Am till around 2:00 and I was shot. We decided to get the chairs out and watch cars go by for a while. Nice couple came by that said they were searching for a Navy Blue Vert like mine but settled for a low mile black one. Had a good time chating with them and a break from walking. I doubt we saw near half of the cars there.
The ride home was fun too. Top down for 3 hrs with the cruise set on 73. Ran a good way back with a guy in a Mag Red Vert. We ended up at the New Stanton toll both nose to tail. He pulled off the side and I pulled up. He said he had to put his lid down too after watching us. Another nice chat insued until we parted ways.
I have been into the old car/hot rod hobby most of my life. I always thought Vette people were "snobby" Well this weekend sure changed my mind. Lots of different aspects but still car people in the end. Most everyone we talked to was just so friendly.
