Default Tire Question

Hello,

I have a 2002 Corvette and had a tire question.

I have Z06 rims (10.5'' rear tires) with the stock 275/40/18 rear tires.

I have also lowered my car with the factory bolts!

So my situation was that I tried to install Nittos 305's and they seemed to be too big (too tall since it waas lowered)

So my question is if I put the stock Z06 rear tire size with these rims will the have enough clearance?? (295's)

Thank you !

What was the number following 305? You must go down to 30 or 35 from 40 to run wider tires and keep the height down.

Thats what we are saying. 305 will be the same height if you go down on the second number. Its only wider. If you had 305/40 it would be too tall. 305/35 would fit fine. Most of us have lowered vettes and squeeze wid tires on.
