I have a DD for daily use, and I'm certainly not going to lug my 80lb tool box and various heavy parts in it daily like I do in my other car. 
I have more respect for it than that.
I save my 04 Z06 for weekend fun ! Its going to last a long time for me since I only manage to muster about 3000 miles a year. I am enjoying every mile ! Bought it new in March 04, and enjoying it almost every weekend in it since !
Some can drive their car daily... some can not. Its just not practical for a daily driver for some of us.

I'm a self employed contractor and also require my DD truck for work.
Purchased the "04 Z for the simple pleasures of weekend cruises, date nights, and car shows. I've accrued only about 1100mi/yr and have no issues admitting so. These were my intentions all along.
For those of you who can drive them as DD and more, I salute you. It's truly what they were meant for you. But for me it's just for family recreational enjoyment.
