[Z06] fuel pump issue ? C5Z

Default fuel pump issue ? C5Z

I have a 2002 C5Z that suddenly quit running. It would restart than stall
we traced it to the fuel pump relay turning off the pump once you stopped cranking the starter if the relay is jumped out it runs fine. replacing the relay does not fix the issue. It looks like the ECM is turning off the pump. Also just after the car stalled the DIC displayed LOW OIL LEVEL. the level is correct.
No wires look damaged.
The obd2 scan tool shows no codes and the check engine light is off.

The car ran all day with relay jumped but will not run with out the jumper.
any thoughts?

Maybe your ECM. IF YOU HAVE A FRIEND WITH SAME CAR YOU MAY TRY THAT. Robert

I had the same problem and it was a funky connector inside the fuse block that connects to the relay.

I soldered a piece of wire to the blade on the relay to make it "fatter" and that cured it.

I bought a replacement fuse block when I run out of stuff to do.

That is very interesting, having a similar issue with my 99 SS. Will sometimes die inexplicably and won't restart. I have replaced ign relays etc...Seems reseating the relays works. I guess I will have to look into replacing that fuse block.

I thought the ECM's were not interchangeable due to the vats system??? doesnt the BCM and ECM need the same VIN?

I know the connection to the relay is good the signal form the ecm drops out after you let the key go from crank to run...

I dont think so on the bcm and ecm. But give BLOWNBLUEZ06 a p.m. and ask him what he thinks. He has pulled are worked on ever part in these cars. Robert
