Default Problems with GM "red" wires...

Anybody have problems with the plug wires coming loose at the spark plug? I put a brand new set of AC Delco plugs and the GM hot "red" wires about 4,000 miles ago. I have already had 2 seperate mis-fire sessions where I had a loose plug wire on driver's side 2nd back and then driver's side 3rd back.

Starting to get a little frustrating.

Sometimes it can be hard to get the wires to really "click" onto the plugs. Especially the harder to reach ones. Have you made sure you put them on and can pull on them without them coming off?

Are you sure you're pushing them till they click? If you don't feel the click its not properly installed

As I typed you posted :-)

Yeah I thought I had checked them pretty well after the intial misfire. And they don't look like they are too tight where it would pull off. I am new to the LS series engines and thought I read somewhere about once you click them on the plug you then need to twist them a hair to "lock" them on.

hopefully this is the last issue. They all appear to be on good and tight now.

Oh and on a good note, I just had a GHL bullet system put on my 2003 z06 behind longtubes and offroad pipes. Sure is easy to hear the misfire with that combo lol... Money well spent

Hopefully they were just loose. I've had two sets of the GMPP red wires (2 different cars) and never had any problems with them.
