Now, if they were to provide Supporting Members with a non-popup add interface or some other additional benefit I might do it.

BTW: I'm not a Supporting Member of my grocery store either. Vendors pay to display their product and I am free to buy them as I wish.

Many thanks for starting this string. I've been meaning to join for several months as a way of just saying thanks.

I bought my third Vette one year ago after trying Porsches and Jags for 10 years. After happily jumping into a 2002 vert, I had a lot to learn about the C5 vehicles and which upgrades would yield the machine I really wanted.

It is difficult to quantify how much time and money I have saved as a result of participating in this forum, but I would hazard both figures are quite significant.

Thanks to all for your help and your many posts of the past which have created such a rich data base in which to mine for nuggets of wisdom and experience.

I upgraded a number of months ago. I have gotten so much from the site here and wanted to give back. This is a great site and the members are what makes it so.

After many years of Vette ownership, the Forum has been an excellent source of information. I belong to several associations in my profession, costing many times what the Forum costs me.....and get alot less from my professional associations.

Keep up the "great" work, guys.

I am in now. Been meaning to do it for the past couple of years just never got around to it. Although I don't get residuals for my time and knowledge invested here, the return I receive from others time and knowledge is a 1000 fold (wish my 401k got that kind of return).

I got no problem with that. Most of the vendors are also active contributors of their time, knowledge and experience when people have questions and issues.

Usually it's more like 15 out of 25. Some vendors bump three or four threads at time. Even in the tech section. .

I agree that a couple do but I think it's a stretch to say that most of them do. Unless your counting the help they provide for their own products. In my 6+ years here 97% of the help I have received is by other owners. The other 3% were probably vendors but I can't remember ever seeing a lot of threads by those guys.

Now if becoming a supporting member meant we could hide threads completely from users of our choice? I would pay for that every year.

I agree that I've learned a lot from this forum, but it hasn't actually saved me money.....

Let's see, supercharger, headers, and dbl din Nav radio..... all courtesy of of info gained from this forum. I'd rather not add it all up....
