When I bought mine in 2007, DeMoise Trucking transported it from IL to CT. http://www.demoise.com/
I don't know if they are taking on any business right now...they weren't in mid-July...not sure why though. Best I can say is call them and ask. If they aren't, they will recommend another carrier.
When I purchased/transported my C5 in April 2010, I looked at Intercity, but ended up using FedEx Transport (see my post #14). The guys at Intercity were great, but after several days and phone calls, they couldn't give me a date that they could pick up my car. But like I said, the guys there are great and their service levels are well documented on this board.
For my experience...FedEx did an outstanding job! They gave me dates/timelines on my first call to them; they updated me each day either from dispatch, or from Gerald (the Driver) or both; and actually got it to me right on schedule!
Top shelf service and I'd contract with them again. A+ .
Be carefull who you pick. I sold a restored 69 Camaro convertible with a 4 speed and the buyer sent a transport company to pick it up and the driver didn"t even know how to drive a standard shift. He tried to start it in gear without pushing the clutch in. I repeatedly told him to push the clutch in and he didn't know what the clutch was for. When he finally did get the idea, he started out in second gear up a hill to load it , slipping the clutch all the way. The guy could barely speak English.
I went with Montway Auto Transport. They were exactly 1/2 the price of Intercity and it was still an enclosed transport. Had the car shipped across the country in 3 days and had a pickup date established 2 days after booking. No complaints.
i used american auto move they do enclosed car shipping for the price of open transport ask for nate brady http://www.americanautomove.com they have great rates and you def can beat the auto transport services
