Default using key fob to open window

Heard on the radio this morning you can open the windows on your car by using the key fob. Press unlock, release, press and hold. Or insert key in lock, turn clockwise, release, turn clockwise and hold. That is suppose to put windows down in some models. Corvette was on that list. Perhaps a newer model? Anybody tried it on their C5? My car is at home and I will try when I get home. However it suppose to work on some other models also. Google "how to use key fob to roll down windows". Your other vehicle might be on the list.

Doesn't work on my 98. I'm pretty sure it does on the C6's.

I believe this is a standard feature on the C6 Corvette. However for us C5 owners, we need the "Window Valet" which basically does the same thing. You plug it in and program it. Press the unlock button on the key fob 3 times to lower the window and press the lock button on the key fob 3 times to raise the windows. I love mine, however I suggest you turn the horn/lights option off.

Not possible on the C5 but you can install a Window Commander which allows you to lower and raise both windows with the key fob.

And let me add, another nice feature with it is your radio will come on when the windows go down....just remember to turn the volume down before doing the windows up process, or you might get booted out of the church parking lot!
