Be careful if this is a street car. Last thing you want is to get in an accident and hit your head on the bar. Well know drag racer in PA just dies from this..

Not to sound naive, but how would one hit there head on this bar if properly installed? The bar is positioned behind the seat only from what I've seen.
I have a brey and krause, very nice set up, I put it in myself but help would make it a lot easier, they look right at home in the car, if you need anything I would be happy to provide some pointers but it's pretty straight forward.
Keep you eyes peeled there are always deals on these around.

thanks! is installation generally easy? Any extra drilling/welding required??
Complete bolt in, I had my seats out at the time and it helped a bunch, you will eventually have to remove the seats to install the lap belt kits anyway so you might want to have everything and do it just once, I didn't and ended up removing my seats twice.
Everything bolts right in, including the the lap belt kit, no drilling or cutting at all.

Sounds awesome thanks! I'll probably be going with that one. Luckily by now I'm a pro at getting seats in and out of my car so that's no sweat lol
I have had two different harness bars installed in my car. I originally had the R-D bar, which I think is no longer available. I had decided to get out of open road racing and sold the harness bar. Later, I decided to get back into open road racing and ended up buying a Hard Bar harness bar. The Hard Bar was a pain to install and limits my seat position more than than the R-D setup. I would probably go with the Brey-Krause if i was starting over and couldn't get the R-D setup.
