The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
The AC won't work at temps below about 35*-40* F. The AC light flashes if pressed when the air conditioning is not available. Makes sense to check the outside temp sensor & if it's OK, check the freon charge.

If it is 40° somewhere I feel for you. We're still low 90's

The flashing light is telling you the AC is not working so work through logically.
If the OAT is warmer than 35 degrees that means it should be working. An auto inhibit prevents it from operating at low temperatures. A bad OAT sensor will cause a similar symptom as the car thinks it cold but that will set a code.
Worth checking the codes next as an HVAC fault could cause it. Post any codes and we can find a procedure from the manual for you.
At that stage, if the codes are clear, I'd have the freon topped off because as the guys say, that will also cause the flashing light.
