take the money and run parting out a car is a royal pain in the @$$ once you sell everything you can than you have to worry about getting rid of rest of it and depending where you are the city or county might have somthing to say about it
I'm gonna agree with everyone else, and say take the money and run! I would be happy with that payout given the mileage on your car. You don't have any major mods worth a lot of coin, so it would be a major hassle and waste of your time to buy it back and try to part it out.

I've parted out several C-1s and half a dozen C-3s over the past 40 years, and made good money on them. What I've learned is that's a function of money/time. Which do you have more of? Which less? What are your priorities for each? Your life situation is different than anyone else on this forum. You can receive all sorts of "I would.......", but finally, it comes down to your situation. You can make good money parting a car out--do you want to take the time and energy, based on your situation?
62corvette makes a lot of sense.
Here's another thought. Is there someone close to you that parts out cars? How about a rebuilder? Would they give you more than $3700? If you can make a quick grand it might be worth it.
Many, many years ago I worked on weekends in a rebuild shop. They'd make that vette look like new. However, given the new laws and tracking systems, I wouldn't count on a clean title. You may have to buy it back with a different title from the insurance company.

i ended up getting the car back from them overall i was very pleased how fast progressive handled things and what i got for the car i got a check for 11,300 and the car back still with a clean title within 8 days of the accident. I stripped some of the front end off the car and threw it on craigslist sold it in 2 days for 4500. So i got another 800 bucks out of it instead of the 3700 progressive woulda gave me . thanks for all the insight and thoughts. Now time to look for a C6 or c5z
heres some pics of it
