Default Reduced power engine

Hi anyone. I suddenly got this message on my 03 vette. Just out of the blue.... Car had been working well prior.. The only thing different is that it was first time left outside in the rain. Not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.

My main concern is the trunk won't open and I am flying to Ireland to play golf in 7 days and my clubs are in the trunk?? Anyone with any thoughts???

Look at your book in the car. You have a release to get into the trunk.

Default Trunk

I believe that if you put your key in the door and turn it to the front three times it will also release the trunk.

The key thing didnt work as there is no power to the trunk. It's funny how the. Vehicle has chosen to shut down some functions and not others. My book says there is a cable to release the trunk but it's confusing as to where it is.
Is anyone familiar with this storage area the manual trunk release is located?
What is the reduced power warning anyway?

Check the battery cables. Check groundings. I had this problem once and it was the negative battery cable that had to be tightened
