Default X-pipe and intake install issues

Well I guess using a borla x-pipe and magnaflow intermediate pipe(catless) was not a good idea. Had some fitment issues but managed to muscle through them with some help from friends. We got everything installed and hooked up with only a couple of minor issues. One being the connection between the two new pieces where it gets clamped. Had a small gap only on one side of the tube, I put the clamp over this side and tightened it down and was suprised that I only have a small leak at that area. Second is that there is very little room between the passenger side pipe and the heat shield at the fuel tank. Barely fit my finger tips in there, the other side I can almost fit my hand up into. Is this normal? I pulled and tugged on it and got it a little better but not much, the tips were a little crooked but got mostly evened out.

A side note - looks like my Z has standard catback on it. I assume that the previous owner sold or traded off the TI system before trading it in. This will have to be changed out...either with a TI system or some other catback (maybe a funfest 2012 install?).

Another problem I ran into is with my new/used Vortex rammer kit. Being used I don't have the air tube filter with it and I am switching to the varram air bridge which moves the maf and does not give the vortex that hard plastic too hook to, I end up with two soft rubber tubes at the same point. I am considering just going to the zip tie mod with my no cut radiator shroud and calling that part a day and keeping the varram with the relocated maf.

As it sits now I ended up having to leave it parked outside for the night but plan to get home sooner then normal tomorrow so I can try to get a few more looks at it in daylight and maybe run up to the dyno shop and have them look at the exhaust and see what they think and go ahead and tune it.

Finally just called it quits after the time was passing, long past sunset and just getting tired.

One good note is the E2 tunnel plate installed easily, only had to use a bar to slide it over 1/4 inch or so for one hole to line up, everything else lined up and went smooth with it. One good point of the night. I can already tell backing out of the driveway that the car does not twist like it use to.
