Ouch, that sucks. The TI system probably flows a tad better than the base C5 exhaust. The main advantage of the TI system is how light it is!

Whatd the car dyno stock? For all you know the dyno reads high and stock you were at 364hp.

Dont lose yourself in dyno numbers they are useless you can go on the exact same dyno 1mile away and get 10 less horse power but it does not matter, A good driver over a avarage driver will over come 10 extra rwhp in a race easy and your not going to feel 5 hp either on the street

Just saying

for what its worth the stock Ti mufflers say titanium on them. Even if someone had painted them you should still be able to see it.

without cam? hmmmmm

most stock LS6s, 2002 to 2004 only run 365 - 375 rwhp and a few in the 380s right before they blow up

I agree most stock Z's dyno that with no mods. Mine has a Vararam, AR Headers, 3" x-pipe with hi flow converters, and the ti axleback. From what I've seen, 380 - 395 rwhp is typical for those mods.
Before header install with just the Vararam it dyno'd 366 rwhp.

I am aware dyno numbers vary by day and dyno. It is still a good tool and allows me to verify o2 readings.

More like 365-375 with LTs no cats straight pipes on 100 octane.

NASA ST2 race cars are tested and retested. and 375 is about max

Intake especially the v type has little if any to add to any good CAI.

That 380 plus might be from getting too loose inside and ready to go ..

Aside from a dyno being way off, mine just did 366hp, with no LT just offroad mi pipe, x pipe and rammer cai. O2 showing it comfortably rich. I have not looked at too many threads about dyno numbers, but I would have thought the LS6 would handle much mor then 380 to the wheels. Don't they do 350-355 stock?

From what I've seen, these cars (LS6) routinely put down 355-365 rwhp in stock form. CAI + LT's typically add 20-25 rwhp with a good tune. Add a good set of heads and cam and you will be in the 450-480 rwhp range with a tune. All on the stock bottom end running pump gas (92-93 octane). It is done all the time. The magic is in the tune.

Heads and cams are a different story.

Dyno numbers are from a Dynojet with SAE corrections Not Mustang dynos.

Higher Octain will not add HP in a NA engine. It only prevents pre detonation. If a 10.5:1 engine is tuned to run on 93 oct then running 100 will do nothing.

people make 370-390 RWHP all the time with 93 oct LT's/X pipe, CAI and an exhaust.
