I had to drill mine out..try on the sides of the broken retainer..ruined shift ****,what a bitch :mad
I think the guy that puts them in at BG whacks every 10th one extra hard.

I ran into the same Problem when installing my Hurst a few weeeks ago. After trying several methods, I nearly destroyed the pin, and I thought it would never come out.
I ended up using a set of needlenose vice grips and clamped it onto the left/right side of the pin. Not the front/back facing windshield/rear glass.
The important thing to do is to use a side to side motion while pulling on it and rock it out. But you have to pull like hell and be carefull not to yank the pliers off and break your nose. This is the only way to do it for a tight fitting pin.

I feel guilty. I replaced mine yesterday with the GMW Gray. The retainer pin slid out with a little lift from a flathead screwdriver. Sort of makes one wonder how it got put in ... in the first place. :lol:
