Default Rear View Camera Debate

I would like to add this and I'm looking at a Gentex mirror setup with a rear view display. I upgraded a while ago to a Pioneer DD HU and kick myself for not getting the camera then and I really don't want to go to the hassle of dismatling the console just to add the camera.

Anyone have feedback on the rear view mirror setup? Thanks

If your head unit is set up for a rear view cam I would use the head unit, Much better display than the one in a mirror.
Just my 2 cents.

I agree
Much easier and cheaper and will work better as it gets wired so the camera will come on when car goes in reverse.
Your still going to have to run a video feed to the rear of the car so might as well take an extra 10 minutes and do the camera to your 930
call me if you want and I can explain everything to you

A couple of posts from my audio upgrade. I installed the rearview camera at the same time. The second posts shows a comparison between the view from my HU view and the mirror-based setup in my Hummer H3. They both work well but the larger display in the Vette's Kenwood HU is easier to see.
