hey guys.....so i'm debating getting so LED lights. wondering what most people do. I don't want to have to change EVERYTHING, but i would like to get a "fresher" look. for example, i don't want to go to the trouble of modding the courtesy light above the shifter, but i don't want to change the rest of the lights and have that one stand out.
so i'm thinking: footwells, trunk, coves, strips for in the engine bay, HVAC, Radio, exhaust.....anything else i should be looking at? any of that not really needed?
also, what color do you think. Mag Red with Tan/Black interior. i was thinking either white or blue for the interior and engine and white or Red for the exterior.
I went with hyper white bulbs for interior and exterior. I like that slightly blueish look without being too blue. I changed all the lights in the interior, including rearview mirror LEDs. This included footwell, cargo, shifter, map, radio, HVAC, TC, trunk, and DIC buttons. Those are a pain, as you have to remove the entire gauge cluster to get at them. But the interior really benefits from an LED upgrade.
For the exterior, I went with HID 6000k headlights with LED halos, hyper white parking and reverse lights, plus side cove LED strips. I wired my side cove lights into my front marker lights, so they come on with the parking lights. Halos come on with the ignition. Most stuff I ordered from autolumination.
thanks for the advice. i'm worried that if i start i won't be able to stop. really, all i want is foot-wells, HVAC, and radio. trunk would be nice, but not necessary. but i'm afraid some of the others would look out of place if i stop there.

do you have any pics? i'm curious how the hyper white looks. also the headlight halos and most of your other exteriors for that matter. basically i want to see it all! haha.

I won one of the St. Jude auctions for a complete set of LED's from JW if I remember right. The only bulbs I haven't changed yet are the ones on the mirror. Think I may be trying to put the wrong bulbs in.
Other than that, they work great. I went with the blue on the inside.
IMO the only color to get the LED's in is White. As far as the interior footwells and rear cargo area simply replacing the bulb with a 194 size LED it won't be as bright as the regular bulb, same with the rear cargo area. It replaced those LED's in my car with the super bright strips from JWM. They plug right into the 194 socket and stick up on the underside with double face tape, now they really make a difference. Whoever you decide to buy the LED's from do yourself a favor and avoid autolumination. I tried them twice and the lights failed on me both times within a month and the morons they have answering emails have no knowledge about what they sell, not to mention they gave me a really hard time about returning the defective bulbs.

that's good to know. LEDs seem to have a WIDE range in quality.
