Well, I know some probably think I am nuts, But when talking to George (radioflyer) he informed me of his plans to have another group buy on his Stealth light cannons, so after some talking with him, we swapped them out. The set I got was the base set (for now) I had to drive home around 9:30 last night and the light from these is simply amazing. they have the same bulbs that his ACA conversion so it's really just a matter of preference. I am sticking with these for now.
Thanks again George.
I know my camera sucks, But I will get some better pics tomorrow, The fit and finish on these is perfect.

Yes, they can, and I may eventually do that, removing the shrouds after the initial install is not difficult. I just want to take my time on my decision on the next move.
Very nice set up. I like how you have your car with the front spoiler. I cant say for sure, but I have seen other C5 vettes with this type of headlights covers/surrounds painted to match there cars.
Those look awesome! I'm not usually a fan of the "frog eye" look. I'm more into the "sleepy eye" look with projectors, but these are great! Winter project, here we come!
Yeah RadioFlyer did an awesome job designing these lights, I was blown away at how well they fit and even more blown away how easy it is to remove the lens and shroud for future modification, he left no stone unturned in his quest for perfection, the lens is perfect no big bulge, they follow the lines of the car to a T. And with the recessed projectors it just looks great, no one would mind a close up shot cause there are not any issues with the fit and finish.
And the cool part is you can add some of the additional options at a later date if wanted.
I'm lucky (I think) George lives less than 20 miles from me. Im 50 years old and my eyes are not what they used to be, but even with the standard lights in this kit there are 0 issues seeing a long long ways in front and to the sides of the roadway.
I do normally as well, and just converted to the ACA Projector housings with HID low beams and HIR high beams. But these look very nice and it may be the first fixed headlight conversion worth considering. Especially if the shrouds are painted to match body color (in my case not a problem as my coupe is black). Now I have ANOTHER decsion to make. The only thing I dislike about the ACA's is the high is not a projector and cannot be independently aimed from the lows (I know Radioflyer makes a bi-xenon conversion, but it basically renders the high beam reflector in the housing as ornamental) so if these can be aimed independently and come with HID projectors I may just have to seriously look into it.

Not only can the projectors be independently aimed, but they also have a built in rotational adjustment as well. I added this as a fix to a pet peeve of mine that most projector headlights once installed have the projectors tilted left or right for no reason. With this adjustment available, you can have the projectors aimed exactly the way you want them.
WOW!!! Those look awesome! I've been eye-balling these for a while now...I think the OP's install is going to put me over the edge to buying. . Soon as the $$$$ is available...
I have the SLC's as well and have to agree with how awesome they are. I have mine painted body color (pewter) but kind of like the black on your car as it matches the front spoiler. Great lights, aren't they? Where is the hi-five icon?
I thought about painting just the tubed out area in the very front of each light pewter and leaving the rest black, not sure what I'm going to do yet.
They are bad to the bone for sure, and I kind of like em black myself.
Is there anyone that photo shops a picture of these light with the shrouds painted a certain way for me, just want to get an idea of what it would look like with the shrouds painted, but not where the recessed area is in the front of each light.
I'm a pop-up fan (with ACAs), however that's the nicest non pop-up conversion kit I've seen! I like that the lenses maintain the curvature of the original pop-up lids, unlike the ugly frog-eye depots.
I suggest matching your fogs with similar temp HIDs to finish the look.
I went with the 3000 fogs to have the yellow color, but they are hid, we did them at the same time, it was to easy not to. For someone who has never worked on their headlights before, it is really a very easy task.
Thanks for the compliment
