I ordered a LED Lamp to replace the excisting one.
Thats when all my problems started.
First of all it was not a plug and play. I had to coble the socket to install it. I got it to work but it would not shut off with the hood open like before with the orginal bulb. Then it would work intermitently when it felt like it.
Now it don't work at all. It was $15.00 worth of trouble.
Now I'm wondering if I burned something out.
I have a print out of trouble shooting it , but it doesn't seem to help me with the info pervided.
Yeah, it won't shut off automatically - I believe it has something to do with the power difference between the original bulb and a LED...
Working when it wants is probably the contacts as ya close the hood and open....
I got one too, and honestly disappointed too...not as bright as I thought it owuld be...but hey, only $15 lost - -
first check to see if the glovebox light is working. if it's out also, the fuse is probably blown. it is located in the passenger floor panel fuse box (sorry, but not exactly certain as to what the number is). i had the same thing happen, and the last thing i thought of was the fuse because it seemed like everything else was working (needless to say i was wrong, lol). if the glove box lamp is still working, try to replace the original blub and see if that solves your problem (as previously mentioned the LED in that application is a problem and tricky to say the least. not worth the effort and aggravation.

It's mini fuse #2. It's a 10 amp mini-fuse
My underhood light (LED) works now, after replacing that fuse but the glove light doesn't work, but obviously that is unrelated to mini-fuse #2 ... but I can't even find the glove box bulb !! Where is that sucker ??

I found the glove box bulb !!!!
It's attached to the switch, just reach behind, squeeze the two tabs (that's the hardest part) and pull the switch and bulb out the front, toward you.
It's just a 194 bulb and, of course, I have lots of those !!
