Well after many months of searching I can't find a headlight unit i like in my price range. So i thought what the heck ill just make my own. Anyways, i have access to a vacuum forming table which will make all this possible. so i was wondering what the community had in mind for something cool. I want a fixed set up so anything u guys think is good. the lens i will mold from radioflyer's or breathless so i can retain the nice body lines. i was thinking either hella 60mm projectors or bi-xenon any input is appreciated. Development will began in december when i have a month of free time and hopefully completed mid january. so theres time for brain storming

Bracket made and projectors mounted.
UPDATE 4:
Prototype. I have had a lot happen recently (moving/renovating a house and all this other junk) haven't worked on the lights in a while but I do have them on the car and have probably logged 5k miles of driving with them. This winter its time for a rebuild and maybe get a nice polished product out of it. The shrouds are definitely getting redesigned and the mounts are being tweaked a little. but this is how they look.
Id like something like these from the rx7 http://www.modified.com/events/modp-.../photo_12.html But have the clear lens from radioflyer over them. Basically something like radioflyers but with the projectors recessed more and the more style to the projector housing area. And keep it with normal 9005/9006 projectors we don't need all this bi-xenon crap that will just add to the price. Basic HID kits will look good in regular projectors
Okay that what I was thinking the same about the projectors so with 4 projectors thats 200$ in that, lens will be 250 from breathless but if some one could make a mold or send me old ones that would cut down on development cost.
maybe something like this, similar to SuperTom but with a different shroud design
(what's that in the bottom left corner, hmm haha)
If you take a peak at THIS site, you can get a lot of ideas for making a different flush mount style headlight. And for anyone who thinks, "If you want RX-7 style lights, just get an RX-7," then you should leave because you clearly didn't understand the point of this thread.
Anywho another idea
A better idea of how this particular headlight setup looks
If you want a good read, head over to hidplanet.com. You'll get pretty much ALL the info you could possibly need on HID retrofits. The most common lenses they seem to be using are the mercedes e55, audi A6, and infinite fx35/45.
You might end up disappointed going with a 60mm projector.
Don't over price them, don't make them look froggy and they will sell. That's the issue we have now. And I shouldn't say overprice but not to many people want to spend 1k plus for headlights keep in lower then 500.
The goal is to have a ball park 500, 600 would be the max but hopefully cheaper, i like the sites posted and have some ideas. Now i just need to get a hold of a fixed mount system to design off of. Radio flyer used this http://www.breathlessperformance.com...&productId=910 to make his first one so i would do that if i could find it cheap but i may have to go with a depo or just make it from scratch (a lot of work) but i have a month to track down a kit or have someone donate one or mold theres! then the real fun can begin. I looked up the projectors and hella i think will be fine, wont be as high quality as the radioflyers but for half the price it will be better than 90% of the headlights out there
Just an FYI you can get E55 projectors for $30-50/each.
Yes but they are not sealed so it could be problematic bc i dont plan to seal the shroud and the lens and the projectors together its going to be a 3 piece system

Any chance you can give more detail? I'm having a hard time picturing a setup like this that doesn't look cheap like someone took a bunch of short cuts.

Im trying to follow the original build of the radio flyer ones, rework some stuff to keep cost down and save money bc i only have to pay for the plastic since i have my own vacuum forming table http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/show...or-C5-corvette
