Default Another headlight question

Passenger side headlight won't open sometime when I start the car. The small manual **** is not spinning when i cycle the switch. So I don't think its a bad gear. but I did notice that the **** on the motor is much harder to turn than on the drivers side motor.
Once I turn the **** a little, It will work fine for the rest of the day, It is like it is over tightening itself when it closes and sits over night.
Does any one know if there is an adjustment for how much tension goes on the motor when it closes, Or is my motor heading south.

The motor is on its way out.

They have a way of detecting how much resistance there is while opening and closing. This is what turns off the motor. But its measured electronically, not mechanically. So there's really no way to adjust that. You'll need to replace the motor. There are rebuilt ones on eBay for $75. I recommend doing that rather than messing around with the ones you have.
