I've got lights that come on automatically.
I have an automatic climate control, which even splits between driver and passenger.
I'm told how many mpg I'm doing, how many I've been doing, and how far I can go on the current tank of gas.
I can find out at the press of a button what my oil pressure is, what temperature my transmission is running at, what the water temperature is, my battery voltage and each four tire pressures.
I know what the outside temperature is.
I can set how the car unlocks the doors.
I can program 3 seat settings.
The rear view mirror dims automatically.
I can check when my oil needs to be changed.
I have anti-lock brakes.
I have traction control options.
I have Active Handling to compensate for my lack of driving skills.
the front winshield is your compass .... look out of it to where the sun or moon is like they did in the wild wild west .....or you can just take a guess

and where's the button on the drivers side floor to switch the high beams on ... ?
Ooh yes, I remember those..........and the signal lights which were small orange arms that flicked out from the pillar just behind the driver/front passenger.
Most you had to remember to cancel, the more sophisticated ones worked on a wind-up spring which "ticked" away until they "automatically" cancelled. Pretty hi-tech!
What I find odd is that they went to the trouble of designing RAP (Retained Accessory Power.....so that when you shut the car down the radio still plays until you open a door) to combat a problem that Im sure just abourt zero people have, but they couldnt figure out how to have the headlights shut themselves off if you leave them on, even though the interior and underhood lights will do just that . . .
