Is it possible to find one of these for a C5? My passenger seat is in perfect condition and my driver seat back is not bad at all. The driver seat bottom needs replacing and all I can find are complete sets. I would settle for a used one if I can't find a new replacement.
Only way to get the individual covers is either used or from GM...if still available.
I have the originals from my 99 with 70K. They are the black sport seats. Like you the pass side is like new. The drivers side upper has a wear hole about thesize of a quarter which is typical. The drivers bottom is very nice. I was going to have the section of the upper replaced by an upholstery shop but got a deal on a complete set of takeoffs.
I planed to clean the set up and offer in the for sale section but just haven't had the time. I don't want to break up the set. If interested, send me a PM and I'll try to get some photos.

GM may sell them but they won't be cheap. You might try and upholstery shop and see if they can match the leather in terms of grain and color. If not, try and pick up a nice set of used ones either here or on the big auction site. And honestly, there are some forum vendors that sell a complete new set of covers for a reasonable price so you might also check out that option - that way both driver and passenger side seats match perfectly.
I called my local Chevy dealer and got a quote for just the driver's side bottom cover and it was $535! Holy crap!! :-) I guess I can rule out that option. Any other ideas would be great.

I have already checked on the possibility of purchasing a seat bottom from my local dealer to replace my cracked one and found that they are no longer available from GM. The only options are to buy used, buy a brand new aftermarket set, or have an automotive upholstery shop make a custom skin. I was told that the last option should run about $150-160 or so in my area.

I'd like to know where he thinks he's getting one as GM no longer has any available according to their own parts system. The parts guy at my local dealer showed me on his computer where their nationwide inventory shows the part as unavailable.

It was a lady at the parts desk and she wasn't very nice. For all I know, she was probably BSing me! $535 for just a bottom cover seems a bit far-fetched.
I checked out Al's website and his prices are too high for me. I guess I will focus on finding something used or see what my local upholstery shop can do.

I think in a lot of cases people are rude when they don't know, I usually shy away from ones like that. This reminds me I need to take the time to do that rocking seat fix on here.
