Default Toque....

Yesterday i changed my oil, spark plugs and wires.... Then took on the tranny fluid, rear diff fluid and anti-venom mod. All made easy thanks to your super helpful posts. Just wanted to say thanks for being one of those always there with whatever they can share forum members.

She is all buttoned back up and I can get down on some football watching today.. I have to say I love the anti-venom mod and having my ripper shifter for 3 years now I felt a bit goofy adjusting on my first drive after installing the copper washer... I slipped out of 2nd and third on separate occasions within the first 5 minutes of not so stiff driving... Was a little nervous then realized I was just adjusting myself.... All is well! I opted for just one washer. Now I just need to find and order the little boot that goes over the top of the shifter base... Kinda noisy coming through my shifter plate since it's and open hole there.... Anyone know if you can buy one separate?!

Toque, I know this is the wrong color silver Z for you and she is a bit too busy for you as well but thanks for helping me keep her fresh and road worthy

I have to agree 100%. I have Toque's write-ups bookmarked, and refer to them often. Shifting my B&M Ripper was always like arm-wrestling Brock Lesnar in every gear. Engaging reverse was about as easy as engaging a Victoria's Secret model. A small washer and some Amsoil later, I am shifting smoother and quicker than ever. Toque does the forum good!

I also worked with Toque when purchasing my new CCW wheels and new tires. I compared offsets and correct wheel sizing, etc.

The first weekend I drove the car with the new wheels and with less than 100 miles on them, I experienced a small curb rash on my passenger rear wheel. (A little event that I'm still pissed off over thanks to some misguided car show parking instructions).

Anyway, less than 24 hours after the "accident", the rim was completely repaired back to a brilliant shine thanks to his sanding/polishing directions.

Isn't it crazy to think of the members like Toque that take a bad day and help you turn it into a sense of accomplishment?!

Im with you 100%. I race at the Tx Mile in my 03 Z06 w/LS3 and could not make third gear if I kicked it in. The washer trick , synthetic oil and etc. cured that. Thanks Again

Knowing Toque I think he'd be more put off by the color of the wheels than the shade of silver.
