For anybody wanting a tip about needles. I just did a bunch of testing on the needles. They are one very weird odd setup to say the least. Bottom line...don't ever pop one out or even pull or push on it. If you move it out of its original placement, the chances you will get it back working and be accurate I would rate at less then 5%. The needles are pressure fit into a stepper motor that is basically one big wound of wire around a mini transformer with a hole in the center. The needle will push back in but there is something inside (either liquid or a magnetic field) that determines the "swing or sweep" of the needle. My feelings are it is magnetic. Because of this, if the needle is pushed too far in or pulled to far out you disrupt this magnetic field and the result is a needle that doesn't sweep properly. In addition to this, you can throw off the landing position (it needs to register 500rpms but yet is showing 1000rpms). Now I know what your thinking...just pull it out again and reposition it the amount of distance your off. Well I tried that multiple times. The placement is never consistent and each time you pull the needle out and push it back in you weaken its placement in the stepper motor.
So yeh...don't pull the needles out. Don't push them in and whenever your working around them...exert the utmost care. They are fragile little devices. The gauge faces do pop over them, just like I said...you have to be careful and not be a bull in a china shop haha.

Sorry, I can't give any selling type of information on these as I am not a supporting member yet, but I can answer technical questions on here. If anybody has any person questions PM me...more then happy to help anybody out.
As far as the cluster goes...really guys? If I showed you how gutted I have had my car over the last month you all would be like

No dash
No seats
No carpets
No center console
No cluster
Basically no interior

Start to finish on removing of the gauge cluster...I can do in less then 30 mins now and that includes removing the center console area. The C5 I have to say has been one of the most straightforward cars to work on and Iam not a mechanic by trade. Shoot I don't even own a set of air tools.
