Just got done rinsing my car off. I was in getting a massage for a little over an hour. I come out to find my hood and windshield with mud all over them. Fortunately they just threw it on the car and didn't rub it in. I had to find a do it yourself carwash. Stupid, moronic, idiotic, jealous humans. I can't stand them.
Just had to vent.
Never understood the concept of being Jealous of others. I personally like seeing others have success.
I have a couple of neighbors that are so jealous of my 14 year old c5 vert that when I drive down the street they look the other way. Their SUVs are worth more than my c5.
I think we have the same neighbors...

I really think any criticism towards the youth of today is completely unfair.
If there is something missing with them, (and I'm not sure that there is), speaking in broad generalities, we should assert the blame in the right place. It's my fault along with the rest of my generation! After all, it is my generation that raised today's youth and instilled their value system (or lack of). It was my generation that decided we were going to be friends with our kids instead of being tough love parents!
My generation set out on an all out quest to be different from our parents. We were the first generation that was anti-war. We took protesting to an art form. There was much to protest too. Lack of civil rights and an unpopular war gave us much to question. We also questioned authority because we were starting to realize police brutality was real and so was abuse of political power. In our disillusionment, and partly as an effort to rebel and escape life’s harsh realities, to be anti-establishment, to **** off our parents, we grew our hair, we got high on drugs, and we tuned out. And ultimately, as a final vestige of trying so hard to be different from our parents, we decided we were going to experiment with our kids, and raise them in a different way.
To protect our children's fragile and sensitive self-esteem, we gave EVERYONE a trophy, EVERYONE played (regardless of skill), and we actually STOPPED keeping scores!!! After all, we didn't want to bruise their poor widdle feelings, right?
We also stopped disciplining our children too. No more spankings because some parents took spanking too far and physically abused their children. So, to protect those abused children from abusive parents, we used a broad brush and made it illegal to spank ANY child under ANY circumstances! Oh, and that goes DOUBLE for teachers too!
And speaking of teachers, it was THEIR fault that our children did poorly in class. It was the TEACHERS fault that our children were not academically motivated. We didn't have time to accept responsibility for making sure our kids performed well in school. We were too busy with our dual careers.
So when you’re stopped at a red light, and the youth pulls up next to you in his car, with all of his windows down, and music blasting as if he really just doesn't give a rip that he might be infringing on YOUR rights for peaceful sanctity, we should make sure the blame is placed with the right people. It isn't he, who didn't teach him to be respectful or considerate of others; it was ME and the rest of my generation that failed him. We completely blew it and now there is no turning back.
Thanks for letting me vent. I should go buy a model car.
Well said. Combine that with the 500+ cable television stations available to our youth vs. the 15 broadcast stations I grew up with in the 70s and we wonder where they get some of their attitudes?! I used to come home to Speed Racer and Brady Bunch reruns and my kids come home to the morals and adult themes of "Family Guy" being broadcast as family-friendly television.

Why would someone do that to someones car ? I dont get it.
Another example of a frustrated wanna-be who cannot appreciate that someone else has something nice. His action was another example of a weak act of passive aggressiveness.
That's OK, we all get on our soapbox once in awhile.
Whether you are blue or red, it doesn't matter. I for one would gladly have my tax dollars go to provide health care and social services for our returning veterans. I believe that if you served your country honorably, health care should be free for life. It's the least the rest of us can do for the veterans risking their lives in some god-forsaken part of the world.
As a retired Navy guy, I like your attitude. Too bad your philosophy isn't shared by many. I served from Nam to after the first Gulf War and I have seen some changes; just not the real needed ones. For example, there was a time when you'd see dogs and sailors keep off the grass in Norfolk VA.
and liberal America promotes and endorses this mindset, and yet they voted for change...
Really don't want to get into politics, but liberal America is not the reason. If parents do not teach their children respect, they will continue to go through life with the same crappy attitude. And it's not just America; it's universal. I remember reading about a Corvette Club who parked in front of the Museum only to come out and see an Oriental mom and her brood sitting/standing on the cars while she took pictures. I have a brother who married a European and she pushes her grocery cart right into her car to load her packages in her trunk. My brother doesn't understand where all the scratches and dents in her 7 series came from; just her attitude.

Here we go with the useless politics.....jealous people come from all parties, and probably a shock to you, but all races, too....amazing.
I'm 61 years old, have had MANY vehicles over my life time, parked them in so-called upper class neighborhoods, in slums overseas, in ghettos, and NEVER, EVER had a problem with anyone doing anything to any of my vehicles....

Must be a personal thing!!
really....? it seems that you're the 1 making it personal by implying that it is as well as bringing up race (really unnecessary), but anyways, its not shocking at all about jealous people and pointing out that your cars have never been messed with in all your years is POINTLESS, whoopty doo!!! you are one person. Was it op's fault about what happened to his car. just do a search right here on this forum and see how many incidents you'll find similar in nature (and this isnt even a % of the car enthusiast community).
so yes, its my feeling that liberalism is directly related to those who engage in such activity. this type of act derives from not just a "has not", but a "has not" with self entitlement issues, leading right back to liberal nonsense. And just a tip, before you take cheap shots at some1 in particular about race, ghetto's and all else, you might want to know a lil something bout that person...

Your post, my point exactly, (do YOU know me, NO), ramble on, your attitude probably brings you a lot of heartache......
Liberalism? I see where you're stuck, and coming from, stick to your party....I vote the person, not some fake a_ _ party line.

Another story involving a coworker who lived in an apartment:
His truck stereo was stolen, one night, so for several nights after he replaced the stereo, my coworker left his truck doors unlocked while he waited by the window - lights out and baseball bat nearby. Sure enough, the same two guys pulled up and started to remove the new stereo. Of course, within minutes, my coworker was out there wacking both of the thief's legs with the bat. As both were writhing in pain, he called the cops and had them arrested. I don't think they tried stealing his stereo, ever again.

And what "facts", studies, etc. do you have to back up your position?
I'm guessing its just a "feeling" you have.
More likely, its just a way of reinforcing your prejudice.
But, of course, I don't know you, just like you don't know the people you insulted.
Just mud. I wish that is all that happened to mine. It got keyed this summer while my son and I were attending the F1 Canadian Grand Prix. The repair cost me $800. The ironic thing is that the shop owner where I got it repaired drives a new Porsche.

Theres really nothing personal about it, just read the above posts...look @ your buddy's he ends with bringing up "face to face".....so Ill ask you, who made this personal..and why??? Id buy him a beer because Im not offended by what his political objectives are, or if he thinks that it is or isnt related to the mindset of the incident ..

You've learned well, young Padawan!
Pulling a "Romney" and all of a sudden conveniently forgetting you said that a political group was responsible for vandalism.
Those kind of lies may work on "low information voters" but people here only need to go back a few posts and read what you really said.

Must be a personal thing!!
When I parked the car, I didn't talk to anybody or even see anybody in the parking lot. I parked in one parking spot, and it was the first time I had been in that lot. To say it was personal is idiotic. I didn't provoke anybody or do anything that would warrant the throwing of mud on my car.

By the way, that's quite an avatar.
My son had one like that when he was in middle school.
Are you in middle school? I ask because your positions seem a bit immature.
