Last time I checked around here, the prices were about the same as they were 7 yrs ago when I bought mine. Don't see them going down much, especially if they have low miles. I wish I could have kept mine. Wife couldn't handle 2 red cars in the garage. Said one had to go, so I made a chart on my daughters easel board with Z06, WS6 and wife at the top and pros and cons of keeping each underneath. She did not think it funny.
Does anyone think a 2002 trans am will be worth money down the road being the last year they were built? more so than a camaro or vette of same year?
No. If you find a VERY low mileage car, and don't put ANY miles on it while you own it, you MIGHT be able to break even on it if you sell it a couple years later. As an "investment" you should look elsewhere.
Don't know for sure, but I'd say yes. I do know my 77 Trans Am is worth a lot more than a 77 Corvette in the same condition. I wanted a new T/A in 2002 because they were the last ones, and THE BEST looking metal cars ever made. Wife wouldn't go with a rear wheel drive so we ended up with a Monte. I don't drive the T/A much anymore especially since I bought the Vette, but if 1 had to go, it'd be the Vette. I've had that T/A for 33 years, over 1/2 my life.

You can't really value a car that way.
A 67 Corvette is worth a lot more than a 67 Firebird.
And you can find 97-98 trans ams for a lot less than a 97-98 corvette all day long.
And it's especially different with modern cars, you will almost NEVER see an overall increase in value... Unless you had a flawless car with nearly 0 miles and held onto it for 150 years.

I think the Trans Am will be a little more valuable than a Camaro of the same era simply because it is no longer made whereas the Camaro is still in production. Whether it will be more valuable than a 2002 Vette, that's a good question.
I doubt I would purchase one with the expectation that it will rise in value anytime soon, but the car market is pretty fickle so who knows.

LOL!!! Great work. The WS6 is very sweet but has to rank 2nd, I mean 3rd... at least the Vette came in 1st...errr, I mean the wife did....
