Daily driver? Weekend warrior? Affraid of a little rain? We all share the same love for the c5z, has to be the best bang for buck sports car in all the land! I cant think of another car that does this much so well for the dollar. I do feel Z owners are different from regular corvette owners. We are typically motor sports based and actually drive our cars they way they were engineered. 1 track day, several autox events and who knows how many passes at the strip.. never gets old..
However I feel at the time! I cruiz till I just have to find a good spot to give it some throttle. I bought my 01Z in March and cant wait for next year to do ALL the skill building in it.
I too thought I was seperate from C5 drivers till I met Corvetteforum member "Vetfeva," he's got a C5 thats bad to the bone and takes it to another level!
I talked to a guy with an 03'Z and and Audi RS4. he says the Vette is faster AND gets better gas miliage while drives it hard. That was good to hear! Especially when I was thinking about getting the Audi.
Ride on brotha!

Phil.
Where you down in OC this past weekend I think I seen your car? Mines a weekend warrior but no rain if it can be avoided to the the fact drag radials and rain dont get along
My 04 Z06 is and always has been my daily driver. I have over 40,000 street miles and even some snow drives (one in 06 and one in 09. Only things that will stop me is A) snow too deep to drive in (altho I don't recommend snow or ice driving to anyone), and B) standing water more than 1" deep.
Daily driver here - purchased my CE 04 ZO6 last year with 2800 miles on it, has 8900 miles on it now. I "get on it" every now and then, but not as often as I probably should.
Weekend warrior here. I have two young kids though, didn't buy it to use as a dd. If I wanted a dd performance car with a backseat I would have 'settled' for a 5th gen SS. I wanted a car that was all about performance and didn't make any compromises.
