The bugs seem to love the Millennium Yellow. Have you with MY cars all noticed this too? I mean the live ones.... not the flat ones that get scraped off the front.
Before I owned the Vette, I owned a zink yellow Mustang GT, and through out the summer there would be bugs around it all the time. Bees would even go into the hood scoop every so often. I think they are attracted to the color of your car, like they were on my old Mustang.
Before I had bought my yellow C5 I saw a post on the forum about them being attracted to it.... I thought it was a joke but no its true... OR is it because of the color that they are just more noticeable IE how you notice dirt so easily on them.

Never had a yellow car, but I can see where they would think it could be a big flower. And that's not a put down on the Mil Yellow color - I happen to like it.
If I leave the big door to the shop open when I'm there in the evening with the lights all on, they come in and check it out. But they don't stay long. I figure they land on it and realize they can't eat it or mate with it so off they go looking for something else. Haven't ever noticed any bugs if it's parked in the sunlight.
I wonder if what you use on the finish has anything to do with it. I use Rejex after polishing, don't use any waxes or glazes.
I don't think I've ever seen it without a bug on it somewhere. After I hit an area with some quick shine, by the time I put the bottle back in the shed and walk back there are already bugs on it.
Lol. I get them on my nassau blue fairly regularly. Maybe bc it's bright? I seem to remember yellow and blue looking the same in black and white. Been a while since science class
Love bugs in Florida don't care what color you have. Lucky for me they prefer central and south FL. I had them so bad on my windshield of my DD that I had to pull over during a Jan trip some years ago. Twice a year they rule the skies over FL.
