I've put a short throw shifter, improved the steering and handling with sway bars, bushings, and upgraded brakes, and put a 150 shot of nitrous on her, took her to a dyno down the street and she's puttin out 526 HP on the spray.
got to give her a real test today when a Porsche GT3 wanted to play.
the guy new his cars cause he tried to do stuff he thought my car would be weak at, but I stayed right with him through hard accelerations, tight maneuvering that required confidence in the car, curves, and hard braking.
I stayed right with his $200k car in every driving condition except I stopped 3-4 feet later at a high speed stop, but some grippier tires are in route to fix that. ( my PS2 cannot keep up with the Hawk HP Plus brake pads and go into abs mode on hard stops)
so for under $20k (including the price of the car) I am keeping right with a $200,000 car lol
another couple months of mods and I will be blowing his doors off
I love these cars
C5 for life!
woohoo

haha....there's something about 500 HP that changes your personality while driving, mine anyway....take you from being a friendly jovial guy to being out-rite Belligerent lol
haha guys...I'm not a kid doing REALLY wreckless stuff, I'm 41 years old and was a paramedic when I was younger, seen too many manglings.
Going beyond your cars capabilities at high speed is dangerous, we were playing at "relatively" low speeds on surfaces streets ;-)
not something I recommend by the way, really just posted cause I was excited about how the car is comming along.
If you look at my garage and very first posts I made here I stated that my goal was to create a true euro killer on a budget...and while she is not killing them yet, she's right there with them....was just a bit excited is all
everybody drive safe for their car and driving skill limits, and know those limits rationally please.
the guy new his cars cause he tried to do stuff he thought my car would be weak at, i.e. accelerated weaving through tight traffic and brake last minute at red lights etc.

Good mods you've done to the car, but I'd bet this thread gets locked down for the street racing comments as soon as a mod sees it. That type of driving is seriously frowned upon on this forum.

good point, I re-edited that 1st post with a better choice of words so as not to set a bad example
