Default Interior/Exterior modifications

I just purchased a yellow C5 and need to get started on modifying it.

After using the search function and Googling various mods, it made me wish that there was a primary thread for all types of modifications...with pictures.

For starters, shifter *****. I have an incredibly bulbous shifter ****. It's ugly. I want to replace it.

Also, my stereo sucks.

Also, also, my engine is ugly. It doesn't have any shiny covers. Maybe some of you could post pictures of your engine compartments?

My engine compartment has none of that.

Someone should contact the powers that be and isolate topics like this with wide appeal and lasting value to the members...something more than just a sticky (too clinical)..some sort of 'spotlight section'. I can hear it now, "too much work for somebody"

Spotlight section would be nice. But let's face it - members love to show off their ride, so there will always be new threads with "Let's see your insides! Let's see your outsides! Tell us about your undersides!"

Guess there's nothing really wrong with that.

I have various mods on my web site you can look at.
Maybe something would interest you.
www.ToqueZ06.com

You could always replace every bulb in the interior to LED's like I did...
I hated the factory Yellow interior bulbs...
The white LED's really gives is a "clean" look at night.

My engine bay is more focused on the "GO" rather than the "SHOW"...
(555HP/520Tq measured at the motor)

With so many different modifications, it would be tough to have one repository that had all of them. Best bet is to perform a search for each item; "engine bay", "interior", "HID lights", etc.

As mentioned, most Corvette owners like to show off their rides and work, so it's not too hard to find what you want on this forum.

A few more pics to give you ideas...

Yellow can be tricky in my opinion, I tried to keep the interior subtle with yellow accents and stitching. My shift **** is stock but with new leather and stitching, the **** and wheel were done by Vette essentials. I added a yellow shift pattern from Mid America. Seat covers, boots and visor covers were purchased from DJ Motorsports. For the engine bay I used a combination of hydrocarbon (American Hydrocarbon) and carbon fiber with yellow silicone hoses (CCA) to dress it up a bit.

@Redsoxfan, I really like your engine compartment and what you have done. I'll go out and take a picture of my ugly a** engine.

By the way, how do you get to 500HP? I think I'm currently around 450.
