Default Installing chrome rotor covers.

Hi guys,
I'm in the process of putting chrome covers on the brake rotors. Has anyone done this? If so, did you use grease on the backside of the rotor cover? I'm afraid without grease, the covers will be impossible to get off in the future. I'm also afraid if I do use grease, then when driven, it will sling grease everywhere.

The covers that now have a coat of Zaino on them.

Rotor without cover.

Rotor with cover.

Rims with Zaino and wax.

I think I need new rear tires. The fronts were put on the same time as the rears. This pic was taken before I washed and waxed the rims. I will not drive it again until she has new rear tires in the spring.

Permatex anti-sieze would probably be a better choice. A little goes a long way.

I put mine on 2 years ago with a little grease smeared on the back. No problems. I had my calipers powder coated this spring and the covers still come off easily. I used a very thin coat of heavy synthetic grease.
