Getting ready to order new tires for a set of BBS LMs I picked up. Currently have a set of Michelin Pilots on C6 reproduction rims, and I've had lots of Michelins in the past with great results. Problem is that they have become VERY expensive. Opinions on the Nitto NT05? I've had good experience with two sets of 20" Nittos on my Avalanche, so just plumbing the collective wisdom here for other's experience. TIA.
THOUSANDS of posts on tires if you search. I don't think I've ever heard any complaints about NT05's other than they didn't last as long as some other tires. The Nitto Invo's is another popular choice.
I'm running hankook ventus V12 and love them.

Don't know what size you need so I just looked up the size I purchased this year for my 905HP 98. They replaced Michelin tires and the new BF Goodrich hook up wayyyyyyyyyy better. Here are links to both: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...%2FPerformance http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....KDW2&tab=Sizes The BF Goodrich cost a little more, but BF Goodrich tires have a rating of 300 AA A compared to the Nitto's 200 A A. Therefore, the BF Goodrich tires will last longer while giving you better traction. Best of all, the BF Goodrich tires are made in the good ol' USA
The AA traction is wet weather-didn't know that. Plan on using F-2.75/40/17 and R-2.95/35/18. The Goodrich tires are "only" $68 more per set than the Nittos, but I live in LA and Tirerack has a warehouse in Shreveport, obligating them to charge me 8.75% sales tax or about another $78. Have to do more thinking-THX.

I'm rockin the Hankooks as well with no complaints.
We recently went with Hankook V-12's on our 2000 RED vert. Switched from rock hard GY run-flats and absolutely love the V-12's, even if they are not run-flats.
Made an incredible difference in the ride of the car and we can hear each other talk and the radio with the top up. As noted, really like them...Bob
PS: Bought from Tire Rack and had them shipped/installed at the local Pep Boys who also did the Mobil 1 oil change and front end alignment.
Used permenent pucks but should have had additional removeable puck spacers or wood blocks to get the car up a bit higher from the lift arms. Be sure to supervise the guy placing the arms under the car. Three guys at Pep Boys knew how to handle Vettes but the guy doing the tires had no idea that the arms had to go in specific lift points under the car...

I'm running the Hankook Ventus V12s on my car as well. Very good tire and for the price hard to beat. I paid right at $650 shipped for mine from Discount Tire Direct.
