MGW Installed today in my 02 Z06, removed a modified c6 z06 shifter. The world of difference between the two. The MGW is precise and very little movement between shifters especially noticable in the horizontal plane.
Should have purchased the MGW from the getgo......Great Company, Great Product.
The car is really enjoyable to drive now. Tomorrow I change Tranny fluid and do the antivenom mod.
Well, this is what ive been wondering for along time... I also have the c6 zo6 shifter and always been wondering if the mgw shifter is better. Now I will diff purchase one this winter...Thanks for the info.....
I finally came to the conclusion yesterday, that I had agonized over this decision for long enough. I must say that they were exceptionally friendly and helpful on the phone!
Had me going for awhile thinking that the C6 shifter was superior to Georges MGW shifter but the more I drive my MGW the more I am sure I made the right decision with MGW!

Anyone have any experience with the MGW versus the B&M Ripper? My Ripper is very notchy, and it is hard to shift quickly because of how much effort is needed to shift. Thinking of swapping.

this is a very high quality product, installation using the supplied tools and instructions relatively painless...
kinda pricey, but worth it IMO, and easily un-installed when it's time to sell...

The MGW is notchy feeling as well, but I'm confident thats why I like it.

I was offered a MGW from a co-workers C6 he was selling. With my limited experience, I prefered the Ripper that I had in my Coupe, and ordered another for my Z. The MGW was shorter, tighter and, to me , required at least 50% more effort than my Ripper. I have since done the anti-venom mod to both of my cars. What a difference. It is perfect for me... the notchyness was reduced by 60-70%. Before you dump the Ripper, spend $2 for the washer and 15 minutes of your time and try the anti-venom mod.

I went from a B&M to the MGW, and the MGW is more notchy. Higher shift effort too due to the centering spring. Not how I prefer my shifter, but I'm too lazy to take the center console out again and put the B&M back in. Wouldn't recommend an MGW to anyone since they're at least $100 more than a B&M or Hurst, which will feel very similar.

I did the washer mod and run Amsoil trans fluid. Made a world of difference, but thought the MGW would be smoother. I will stick with what I have. I appreciate the feedback!
