Doing some maintenance on the car today. After changing the oil, I started the engine and let it idle. A cool day so a little water vapor out the exhaust tips, but I noticed small puddles under the rear crossmember and got under the car to investigate. Water was dripping out of the pipes on both sides where the band clamps are located to connect the axle pipes to the muffler inlets. No big deal I suppose, but I also noticed some blackened/sooty deposits on the rear crossmember directly across from those clamps. I could not feel or hear any exhaust gas escaping at those points but have no other explanation for the black areas.
Anyone else have these issues? The clamps are tight, but I didn't install the exhaust so I don't know if there could be issues with the clamps or not. I cleaned the crossmember and will watch for new discoloration to appear.

Mine does not have any water vapor coming from that area. Apparently the clamps are not completely sealing the two pipes even though you can't feel any exhaust gases escaping. Not a bad idea by NukeC5 to help seal the joint.
