Both covers are strapped on with bungee cords and clips under the front and rear bumpers.
Make sure the ends of the bungies are covered. Nothing worse than having your car covered using them & finding that the wind blew the cover up and the bungie ends scraped the car. Ask me how I know....
Wife just went to Doylestown Pa. To visit her sister that has been sick she is a little worried
She is used to sunny California. Almost 80 degrees today at my homestead
Be safe out there hopefully old Sandy will head back out to sea

I'm a mile from Doylestown... It's dark, raining moderate, and gusty winds. It's 53* and the winds seem to be picking up over the last hour. Winds 26 and gusting slightly higher than 35. I have my scanner on and nothing major a few trees, branches down but no flooding. She will be fine if she stays inside and is off the roads. Bill
Be safe. If the storm has not already happend by you take some duct tape near the bottom of your cover and wrap it around the car. it will help keep the cover from lifting up and down a lot less. by the way nice looking ride.
Without a garage, a parking garage, five or six floors would be a good place. During hurricanes down here, many guys put their cars in parking garages and cover them.
About 50 miles from Atlantic City here. Feel like I have a bulls eye on my back...
NBC 10 just had Burlington Co. EM talking about evacuations, I know Medford and Medford Lakes has had problems in the past. Stay safe and on high ground.

Bill,
thanks for the Doylestown report, She is there with her two other sisters from Calif. there most likley all hidding in the basement
As someone who has lived through three Cat 5's. Duct tape the car cover for starters.
The cover CANNOT MOVE or it will abrade the paint in the high spots and corners. The wind will whip it around like a shoe-shine rag and there is nothing you can do about it. If there is even minimal flooding the wind will pick up muddy and sandy water and at that point the cover is your enemy.
I've used tennis ***** twisted in the corners and the center sections, as extra attachment points, by twisting them into the cover with the use of heavy twine the cover can be tied criss-crossed under the chassis to the opposite corner then center, zig zagging all around. That and the tape eliminated most movement.
When it was over I found a few rub spots and that a family of squirrels took up residence out of the wind near ground point one..
I'm from new orleans....category 1 storms are like little babies. Things built to different code down there though. I used to drive around in cat 1 storms and swimin lake as they came in...lol.
To everybody on the east coast in the path of "Sandy", are thoughts and prayers are with you (and your cars). We are watching this monster of a storm on The Weather Channel, etc. from the west coast.
Powerss been out for about 4 hours now...rain hasn't been too bad but really windy. EXTREMELY glad I have the cover on, there is a crapload of debris and twigs and stuff blowing around. I go out every hour or so to check and make sure the cover isn't blowing off, only had to adjust the front corner once. Wind is finally starting to slow down but still a little gusty.
Hope everyone else is having good luck.
