Default Ready for Hurricane Sandy

In her cacoon ready for Hurricane Sandy. Got a Noah cover and a Coverite Tybond cover on. Both covers are strapped on with bungee cords and clips under the front and rear bumpers. Hopefully they will stay on with the 60 to 80 mph winds were expecting.

Every one who is in the storms path stay safe and God Bless!!!

Things were pretty light here in Raleigh. We're lucky, the eye of the storm stayed out to sea so all we got was some wind gusts. The outer banks wasn't so lucky. Word is there was a lot of beach erosion and some building damage for the first row of houses. There was flooding on the sound side of the Outer Banks but not much reporting on that situation.
My biggest headache is, I work in Boston. Naturally my Monday PM flight has been cancelled. I've been trying to connect to the client's travel agency with absolutely no luck. The automated answering/HOLD system has hung up on me twice and consultants are not permitted to use their own travel agency unless we don't want to be reimbursed for the expenses.
BTW, Nice looking Vette!

I'm in the Northeast, Philly/Delaware/Jersey area. We are supposed to get hit head on. Going to be very interesting to say the least.

Travel all up and down the Eastern Cost is screwed up because of this storm. Hopefully we will make it through without any problems.

Was supposed to fly out of Newark on Tuesday to head down to Florida for a week. Was hoping to get on a flight today but everything is full and they're already cancelling flights departing later tonight. Had to switch my flight to Nov. 1st and will be staying in Florida a couple extra days.

I'm not sure I if I want to put a cover on it or not. I've seen my cover get pretty whipped about in wind storms during the winter. I never cover it during the summer. I'm more wondering about the 8+ inches of rain.

you will get less damage with the cover off.

Sand will get blown under it, then wind will essentially sand your car for you.

I'm not near the beach, I'm several hundred miles inland so no sand worries here.

You ever see what tree branches being blown around in 60mph wind will do to a car's paint?

It's going to be POURING, I don't think dust and dirt are going to behave the way you think they will when we are getting 6+ inches of rain

It's hurricane Sandy, not a sandy hurricane

Exactly, I'd rather have the cover on than not.

All our friends on the Eastern Seaboard are in our thoughts. We on the Gulf Coast know the destructive power a hurricane packs.

Don't think it will make much difference if a tree branch hits it, unfortunately...

Already got my car and my mom's in the garage after moving all the Halloween decorations that we had to take down. Glad that they'll be out of the elements though. Best of luck to everyone else with preparing for the hurricane!!

Spent the dry part of the day getting ready. Doesn't look good for us. I'm just northwest of Phila. I have a garage and the car is covered, now all I have to worry about is the ground water and my other two cars that are outside. To all you guys up here be safe, and stay home if you can.

No of course not. It will protect it from smaller debris and keep the car dry. Only so much you can do if the car is kept outside. I've done all I can so now I just hope for the best.

If I didn't have a garage I'd take it to the parking garage at the mall and park in one of the center spaces. It might be expensive to park overnight, but cheaper than my deductible.

I'm in Staten Island, NY and we are supposed to get pretty hard with up to 80 mph winds. I wrapped my Z06 with my NOAH and used rope front to back on the car to have the cover as snug as I could get it. I just hope when I walk outside after the worst is over, the car is still in one piece and the cover is still on the car.

Been watching the Weather Channel for a while now and it's not looking good at all. We're going to feel it in Pittsburgh so I couldn't imagine what's going to happen at other places. I'm hearing lots of rain and snow coupled by high winds. This one will be in the record books..
Geeze...

Stay inside and be safe folks..
