Installing the guage rings was one of the first mods I performed back in 2005. I think I bought them from WCC and they are the aluminum rings. They look great and I also like the purple-ish glow at night.
Just a caution to anyone trying this mod. Indeed, the outcome, if done well looks great but there are many sources for problems. Once inside the cluster with the plastic cover off, the surrounding black material is extremely sensitive to finger oils, touch, and debris. Also, I found it takes super precision to get those gauges to be glued in without the glue oozing out the side and then getting it on the aluminum bezels. Okay, perhaps I am not the most mechanical inclined but just an advisory. IF anyone wants to professionally re-do mine, send me a PM.
RPI Designs I purchased aluminum ones at Carlisle for $74.95 which is the current price on their web site and also today only for web orders 5-10% savings. And also listed as free shipping item.

I think i paid 40 for my plastic ones off fleabay. I remember having to do a lot of heating and shaping to make them fit the correct diameter of the gauge. You get what you pay for, I guess.
