[Z06] headlight issue....ideas???

headlight issue....ideas???
i gotta problem with the drivers side headlight. got up early this morning to go to work in it and turned the headlights on and the light wouldnt pop up. the last few times i drove the car when the lights were needed the drivers side light would open fine but it wouldnt close unless i cycled the lights off and on a few times then eventually it would close normally. i noticed when i did try to close the light that the headlight drive motor would try to run, probably turn 3 or 4 turns then stop. i was willing to live with this compromise but now it wont open at all. i havent had a chance to troubleshoot the issue yet but plan to this evening if i have enought day light left.
any ideas on what the problem maybe? im wondering if the drive motor is weak/goin bad? could it be a linkage issue? maybe binding? idk much about the headlights on this thing yet as i havent studied it. but ima find out. appreicate any info from guys who have experienced similar issues.
