I need to insert some metal tabs onto fiberglass. Rhino glue is to runny, I need something thick like an epoxy that can be spread. I triedd fiberglass resign but setup time is to long and no way to clamp. Would Gorilla glue epoxy work or is there something else? Thought about body filler if I added a lot of hardener but what about the bond?
Check at a good hardware store. There is fast setting epoxy available-sets up in a couple of minutes-gets a little warm due to the fast chemical reaction, but that's about it. You might also check West Marine. Some of the marine use epoxy compounds are fast setup and insanely strong.

Ya might try going to a paint automotive supply store. My vette had a crack in the nose right below the plate recession when I bought it. I went to the supply house and bought some stuff they use to repair the bumpers with. It sets up pretty quick, but i don't remember what the name was.

Brownells (gun supplies) sells a product for action bedding called Acraglass Gel. It isn't perfect where non-running properties are concerned, but it's pretty close. It's also a lot tougher than most fast set epoxies. However, if hardness is what you're looking for, it's never going to get super "hard". Never gets brittle I should say.
Another trick is to use modeling clay to make it keep shape (the runny stuff), but the clay sticks to the surface and of the glue then and is only good where it doesn't show.
"Marine Tex" is incredibly strong, but has a loooong set up time. JB Weld is thicker, like a putty, and is strong enough to weld up a crack in an engine block cooling jacket (been there...). "Five Minute" epoxy is good, but I've NEVER had any luck with "One Minute" epoxy - too fast. The key to all epoxies is thorough mixing in an exact 50/50 ratio. Unlike polyester resin that you can mix hotter (faster) or colder, epoxy is more like a mechanical bonding of molecule to molecule, so the proper mix is critical. Epoxy does NOT stand up to high heat.
A few tabs were added from the factory or from PO. It has a yellow look and seems to have a real tough bond. I purchased some Loctite epoxy last night that dries yellow looking according to directions. Anybody tried this product?

Can you post a picture of what you are trying to "insert" into what?
By the way, this is a trick I have used a few times and it works. You will need Crazy glue and baking soda. This is an almost instant reaction, so get your fingers out of it, and it is a strong bond. By instant I mean it will harden as soon as the baking soda hits the crazy glue. And unlike the 3M posted on top, you will need about as soon as the baking soda hits the crazy glue to set. It's fast and hard! Just get your fingers out of the way, or you will be glued to whatever you are trying to glue instantly.
set the tabs where they need to go, apply crazy glue, and apply the baking soda with a plastic spoon or something similar. It's an instant bond.
If you don't believe me, get some crazy glue and baking soda . Yes, I am a laboratory technician, and you will need to back that up with a coat of fiber glass and mat to keep a stronger bond.
